Stumbled upon Albina library today and I am a fan.

I was trying to figure out where to work between appointments, spotted the library logo from NE 15th, and careened into the parking lot. If I wasn’t already primed to those colors, I’d probably miss it. The library is located in a weird corner next to a Whole Foods.

Albina Library is small and chill. There’s only one large table not occupied by computers. It was empty.

I maybe haven’t been paying attention and all MultCo libraries have this, but I appreciated the Staff Picks section with personal recommendations from library staff.

I nabbed the Mr. Rogers documentary and an Ann Beattie novel.

They had good art, too.

Restroom situation: two separate single-stall gender-inclusive restrooms.

All in all, a great library experience. If I visit with a friend, I’ll take a trip in the rocket.
